What is the purpose of LinkedIn?   It’s an excellent question that was asked of me recently. Do my hottakes belong here, on Facebook or somewhere else entirely- in the garbage perhaps?

Why LinkedIn?  It’s the professionals “Facebook“- I can find former colleagues, associates from industry and potential partners and there is a much higher probability I’ll find them on LinkedIn than on any other platform.  

Through the content feed, it allows free thought and ideas from a broader group than I would normally be exposed to and it makes me think- as hopefully i make others think.  

For the people that reach out (who wouldn’t if I wasn’t posting content), I try to be as helpful as I can be to coach, guide, advise or support.  And sometimes – if you are really good and well timed, I might even use your product.  

So yeah.   I think LinkedIn is the perfect place for hottakes.  If you don’t like them…. you should try Facebook.
