It takes a village, and Greta is no different…

Let’s talk about Greta. Ask any author, actor, blogger, influencer, what it takes to build a brand and they would tell you it’s extremely hard. So how is it that a 15 year old from Sweden has found international notoriety? Sure. NOW she’s famous. But I’m talking about before.

Michael Bloomberg has spent $400 mm of his own money to get into the Democratic race (with the Sanders/Warren wealth tax, he actually has a wonderful ROI on those dollars…). $400 mm to get on TV. As you’d expect the debate featured everyone else attacking HIM. The things he said 20 years ago. The things he paid people to sign an NDA over. Not the policies. Not the ideas. The person. Now, let’s return to Greta.

In the age of guerrilla social media warfare, huge money from somewhere is funding the incredible negative rhetoric against fossil fuels. Have you noticed in the last month how much it’s grown? Make no mistake – someone is profiting from this and you have to give it to them to use a 17 year old as the face. Who is going to attack a 17 year old girl with Asperger’s?

Greta’s first strike was August 20, 2018. Her mother’s book ‘Scenes from the Heart’ was published 4 days later.

You can have all of the policy debates you want and talk until you are blue in the face, but nobody is going to be convinced Greta is wrong until she is discredited. Just ask Mike. And it’s much harder to do to a now 17 year old than a billionaire.
