Episode 41 – Oil and Gas Law with Bresee Carlson
Today, I am joined by a legal mind in the oil and gas industry, Bresee Carlson, to talk about shut ins, force majeure, the challenges of where commas go in documents and the change in meaning in the law. She includes a great walk through document (supporting documentation, below) for shut in decisions and the concept that any legal action is a last result relative to negotiated settlements and win-wins.
If you have a kid that wants to be a lawyer, I suggest both you and they listen to the episode – you can really see the different way of thinking between lawyers and engineers in the way we look at problems and solutions that we talked through.
I had a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy.
